I think that D. quadriguttata normally has pink stinging spines, and D. Oxleyi and D. pinguis normally have the yellow stingers.

Doratifera pinguis

Perhaps identifies to species: _Denhamia obscura_ (A.Rich.) Meisn. ex Walp. :
https://eflora.nt.gov.au/factsheet?id=1095
.
Needs to get checked with botanical keys and botanical descriptions of multiple candidates (hypotheses to test),
before confirmed identification .

I just bounced around in the NT eFlora with these distintinctive fruits combined with this foliage,
and off the top of my head, with not yet checking the botany,
spotted this species fruits.

All based on lots of systematic experiences of course – all carefully botanically checked and confirmed experiences, providing the soild basis for me to bounce around off the top of my head late at night popping out speculative, unchecked, identification ideas for levity before soon sleep. Was a busy day .
Good night all NatureMaprs !
