Both photographs, especially clear in the second photograph,
show the leaves' sheaths margins crisped and undulating
– the Flora of Au botanical key foliage diagnostic feature differentiating this _Pollia crispata_ from
_Pollia macrophylla_ (known to occur from SE Qld to N Qld) .

Hence, i just confirmed this identification of _Pollia crispata_ .

Checked more other species possible± candidates across this Lauraceae botanical family .
From relevant features of this tree shown in these photographs I ruled out other candidates' (species).

The sparse, small, pale hairs photographed may well come from this young tree's growing and these hairs may well not grow in mature trees' leaves.

Then re-keyed and re-read the description of this species,
in both the Flora of NSW and the Australian Rainforest Plants: Rockhampton to Vic. .

Happily confident to confirm this young tree's identification to _Cryptocarya microneura_ as well now.
